The MPPT controller usually monitors the ambient temperature through a built-in temperature sensor or an external temperature probe. When the temperature changes, the controller automatically adjusts the charge voltage according to the set temperature compensation curve. For example, if the temperature is high, the controller will reduce the charge voltage; if the temperature is low, it will increase the charge voltage to adapt to the different environmental conditions. In this way the MPPT controller can avoid overcharging or undercharging the battery while maintaining maximum power output.
